The MCU took off with the release of its very first film, Iron Man, which hit the big screens in 2008. This means that Iron Man is the very first film in the MCU. However, if you look at the chronologically, that is not the case.
According to the timeline, the very first Iron Man comes in after Captain America: The First Avenger and Captain Marvel as both of these films take place before the events of 2008’s Iron Man. And that is just the case with these three movies. Before you start watching the MCU movies, dont forget to thank this legendary man!

Marvel Movies and TV Shows in Chronological Order
Previously, when Marvel and Netflix were in a partnership, the two released a few interconnected TV shows, including Jessica Jones, Daredevil, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and a few more. The shows took place in the same universe with the effects of the MCU being referred in the shows. However, they did not precisely connect to the main universe.
As a result, most Marvel fans preferred to ignore them. But, since the partnership between the two has ended and these shows have been canceled, Disney has some pretty major plans for its TV shows. The studio has announced a few TV shows that are going to connect to the upcoming Phase 4 of the MCU.
And that is not all as according to a statement by Disney, these canceled shows might return with brand new seasons. And since this time Disney is planning on connecting everything, there is a chance we might just see their debut in the actual ongoing MCU timeline.
This is why we are going to advise you to go through all of the Netflix/Marvel TV shows as there is a chance these shows will be making their way into MCU in the future. Here is the exact order in which you should watch all of the Marvel TV shows and movies.
