Setup, Installation & User Experience:

Setting up the Minisopuru 13-in-1 docking station is not plug & play. Unlike some other docks, this one requires the installation of DisplayLink. Minisopuru does mention this quite clearly.

You can download DisplayLink from their website, and you can also find it in the 512MB USB that came with the docking station. Ideally, download it from the website to make sure you get the latest version.

I tested this on an HP laptop. This device isn't cheap but it supports three monitors which is unusual and something I need for work. One has to be HDMI, one has to be DisplayPort and the other can be either. This is slightly different to the image shown above where they are all HDMI... mine isn't!. You can generally connect a DisplayPort output to HDMI but not all cables work the other way around (you may need to do a bit of trial and error).

One point to be aware of, the 4K resolution for two of the outputs supports 30Hz update rates not 60. This isn't particularly surprising given I've got 3 screens but it may be a limitation for gaming. For work, I find 30Hz absolutely fine, but others do complain about it.

It comes with a power supply, a mixture of USB-C, USB-2 and USB-3 connectors and overall I'm very pleased.
